The wiz

Produced in response to the racially charged Charleston church shooting,  Glow’s 2015 production of The Wiz was both a celebration and a study of being black in America and the importance of African American heritage. This powerful performance blended entertainment with social justice awareness, noted when Carolina Curtain Call said “This Glow Lyric Theatre production has a greater purpose than just entertain”.
