flowers for Algernon
This production was a part of my Stagedoor Manor Summer of 2017. One of six productions I designed that summer, this was absolutely the most moving. Working with the young cast on how they would portray their character was an educational experience for everyone.
Flowers for Algernon is a full-length drama adapted for the stage by David Rogers, based on the short story of the same name by Daniel Keyes. This is a different kind of play: poignant, romantic, funny, and tragic, but with the hope of man's indomitable spirit.
